There's so much more...

I hope you know that. Whoever you are. There is so much more to life than what we have. You could be perfectly content with how things are right now but what's the point in being just okay? If you feel comfortable where you are now, you need to break out of your comfort zone. If you have ability in a certain area that earns you continuous praise, strive to be better.

Abraham Lincoln could have been content earning an honest living but he wanted more and he achieved more.

I'm aiming this at anyone who is around my age when I say that you are at the prime of your life. Why waste it on partying and getting high? Why drink away your social problems when you could drink in the living water of Jesus Christ? (To girls:) Why waste the beauty you have on skimpy clothes? Why live a life that we are expected to?

There are a lot of people who don't expect much from our generation but I'd be honest in saying that most of us are the cause for it.

There are going to be difficult times, why delay the inevitable? Start doing hard things now. If you see something that is wrong with the world then do something about it. God calls us to remarkable things. Impossible things. Some of you will change so many more lives than I could even dream of. You don't have to stand out to do it because all you need is ambition and a cause.

There's more to life than parties, sex, popularity, drugs and money. I could go on and on and on. Stop telling yourself you are okay with how things are! Start telling yourself that you can do something amazing.

Don't fool yourself when you say that waiting a little while won't hurt anyone, because even if it doesn't hurt anyone, think about how many people you could HELP by starting early.

I believe in our generation. I believe that we can change the world because soon we will be the ones leading the world. It's sad how many of us don't care because soon we will be the ones that everyone will depend on to care.

So what are you waiting for? Let that light shine. Are you keeping that light under wraps because you think you can wait? Or are you keeping it from shining on the faces of many because you are afraid? Either way you are being selfish. I repeat: What are you waiting for?

Falling into Paint/Love

I have times where I have unused inspiration. Tonight is one of those times. I feel that whatever I write may not be exactly what I meant it to be, so take to heart that I may need to revise my thoughts tomorrow.

I have a certain faith in the good of the human spirit.

hold up, I don't know what I'm doing. I definitely need to write about love, since thats what my heart is telling me to right now, and my head doesn't really have any particular direction anyway.

Falling in love is like falling in a bucket of paint. You are stained a certain color, forever, even if that color changes eventually you will always have that color somewhere on you, no matter how chipped it gets. Sometimes people only have a few coats of paint, others have many. Sometimes a coat will not get chipped much or fade much, but sometimes others do.

The important thing to take note of though is that even chipped paint that is faded can still be just as inspirational and beautiful. Marks on that paint can mean something important to the person, such a deepening in a relationship from an experience or something more life changing.

I think that the last coat of paint you have, will be the color you were originally, before you fell in love with any of the others. Because that original color is who you are, and the person you are meant to be with and fall in love with for the last time and forever will love you for exactly who you are and nothing else.

The other coats will still be under the outside one, but only as a reminder of past experience to give you more fortitude and wisdom about life and love.

The love of your life will be a color unique in every way that cannot be matched so obviously the only way to find the love of your life is to take risks and mix the colors on your palette to find the right one, that might mean some messiness, but I think it would be worth it. So take off your apron, remove the newspaper, and start creating colors in every way possible getting as messy as you can.
